My story as a Software Developer to a Job Developer

I started my career in the education industry, from an Instructor at a college to a lecturer at University over 12 years in Sri Lanka, with expertise in mathematics and computer science. Besides, I started computer skill training for employment for clients through community development projects. My interest in technology motivated me to obtain my Master's in Software System at UBC. I earned a great amount of knowledge and experience through my Software Developer / Bioinformatics programmer/ System Analyst roles over 5 years in multiple industries. Then I followed my intuitiveness and decided to try something new and joined the retail industry. Then I discovered my blind expertise in customer service. Along with my leadership skill, I was able to quickly grow as a customer service leader over 5 years. As a leader, I practiced my training and coaching skills to uplift my teams, while administering them. Finally, I followed my inner passion and became a Career Advisor/Job Developer and started training and coaching my clients for Tech-career. 

I consider myself a careerpreneur and my career strategies will play a pivotal role in helping clients to survive and thrive in this constantly evolving world and job market.
