Her child-rearing experience has enhanced her teamwork, determination, and prioritization as she managed multiple schedules, trained others, enforced rules, and provided around-the-clock care. Kris loved playing lego games when he was young, then at school, he got curious and passionate about Tech and assembled his own computer. Being the first person in the family who has a passion for Tech, he helped his family and friends to assemble their computers. After high school, even though he found a customer service job, his curiosity grew and he tried to modify or customize the game features of his favorite open-source Valve games. He started following the tutorial and put effort into learning Python to achieve it. As a game user, he was always interested to find out what causes the bug. He then started exploring Tech jobs and completed an A+ certification at BCIT. Cynthia is an experienced Computer Engineer and upcoming Software Developer in Test, graduating from CCTB in January 2023. She started her career in electronic engineering and worked on challenging telecommunication and signal processing projects like developing secure network platforms, developing web services, and Data Analysis. She then moved to management roles for some time, but then she figured out she enjoys being more of a creator than a leader. During her development time, when they faced challenges with limited resources to do manual testing, the question she had in her mind was, will it be better if she can automate her testing scenarios? When she was looking for an answer, she got an opportunity to train in cybersecurity analysis and fulfilled the knowledge gap to test networks. While working as a penetration tester, she learned that she has a good eye for catching exploits or bugs and decided to professionally qualify herself to become a Software Tester and get back to work with the software development team. She is now looking for the right opportunity to utilize her skills in practice. She plays chess, and piano and creates 3D ornaments using beads during her spare time. She also loves reading books.
